• English and French Studies from 1983-1992 in Hanover, Germany
• Ph.D in American Studies at the University of Stirling, Scotland, from 1992 -1995
• since 1997 paramedic on the rescue helicopter Christoph 4 in Hanover, Germany
• since 2002 lecturer in Business English
• photography since 2003, equipment: Canon EOS 20D and Canon EOS 1 DS Mark III
